Lodz, the aspiring

Lodz is the third largest city in Poland and is located southwest of Warsaw. The collapse of the textile industry after the fall of the Berlin Wall left the city hard. Still, Lodz is an up-and-coming city. New life in the form of art and culture, eating, drinking and going out is emerging in the old factory buildings and palaces. Life in Lodz is peaceful, the people are friendly and helpful and always have time for a little chat. Lodz is definitely worth a visit, there is a lot to discover in this city.
