Côte Sauvage - "wild coast" - is the name given to the west coast of the Quiberon peninsula facing the Atlantic. The coast there consists of strongly jagged rocks, between which you can find individual sandy bays that dry out at low tide. There are several breakthroughs and grottos in the rocks. In a storm, the waves hit the cliffs and sometimes run meters high up the rocks, spray splashes up in huge clouds, foam is torn to flakes by gusts and whirled up. The Côte Sauvage lives up to its name. But even in calm weather, the coast offers impressive images of rugged rocks, which the sea has given the most varied of shapes.
